Michael Dougan in conversation with journalist Allison Morris, will discuss the significance of the most recent current developments regarding Brexit, outlining how the Protocol came into existence and analyse if and how this unique arrangement can work to protect the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement.

The wide-ranging political, economic and social implications of the Protocol will be examined including relationships within and across Britain, Ireland and the European Union. Michael Dougan is Professor of European Law and Jean Monnet Chair in EU Law at the University of Liverpool. His work has contributed to wider public and political debates about European law.
