A panel of Black and Irish people from north and south will discuss what it is to be Black and Irish.

They will share experiences of growing up in Ireland and explore their perception of what it is to be Irish as well as their aspirations for the political future of the island.

Chair: Boni Odoemene – Co-Founder of Black and Irish Ope Oworu, a mortgage executive in the retail banking sector and co-creator of Ohman podcast. Kenny Olaniyi, the Entertainment Coordinator for Black and Irish.

He hosts a podcast called Pints of Malt with a few friends examining their experiences growing up as Black Africans in Ireland. He is also part of Slight Motif which aims to promote urban culture in Ireland. Maureen Hamblin, a mother of two who grew up in Dublin and currently lives in Belfast. She is a clinical scientist and also has a Masters in Divinity.
